Capabilities

Sentinel Fabrication provides small-batch, functional additive manufacturing services focused on engineered thermoplastics and disciplined production workflows. Our capabilities are intentionally constrained to ensure repeatability, reliability, and fit-for-purpose output.

    • Enclosed FDM additive manufacturing

    • In-house domestic production in New York

    • Prototype and small-batch builds

    • Functional orientation and print-strategy selection based on use case

  • We support a focused set of thermoplastics selected for functional reliability:

    • PETG
Suitable for functional components requiring chemical resistance, durability, and moderate temperature tolerance.

    • ASA/ABS
Appropriate for parts exposed to UV, heat, or outdoor environments where dimensional stability and weather resistance matter.

    • Nylon (Limited Use)
Considered on a case-by-case basis depending on geometry, loading conditions, and environmental requirements. Nylon projects are evaluated individually and are not universally supported.

Material selection is reviewed during quote evaluation to confirm suitability for the intended application

  • Our capabilities are well-suited for:

    • Defense-adjacent and field-use functional parts

    • Jigs, fixtures, and tooling aids

    • Enclosures and protective housings

    • Functional prototypes for fit, form, and use testing

    • Medical or clinical support components

If a component must perform reliably outside of a display case, it is likely within our scope.

  • One-off and low-quantity builds

    • Small-batch production (typical runs under 50 units)

    • Customer-provided CAD files (STL or STEP preferred)

    • Review-based acceptance prior to quotation

Projects are evaluated for feasibility, orientation, material selection, and expected performance before pricing and lead time are issued.

  • Sentinel Fabrication maintains intentionally narrow capabilities to ensure process control, repeatability, and predictable outcomes. By limiting materials, methods, and project types, we reduce variability and avoid the quality degradation common in generalized or hobby-focused print services.

These constraints allow us to deliver consistent functional results for applications where performance and reliability matter more than novelty or volume.

  • To avoid ambiguity, Sentinel Fabrication does not provide:

    • Decorative or novelty prints

    • Figurines, miniatures, or collectibles

    • Hobby-grade printing services

    • Resin-based additive manufacturing

    • High-volume consumer production
